The IVIMEDS Map

The IVIMEDS map is a unique feature of the IVIMEDS approach and provides a useful user interface which enables and integrates learning.  The map with the learning outcomes embedded within it can be used as a framework for storing and accessing learning resources and for identifying relationships between learning outcomes and learning objects.  With just-in-time learning in the context of problem-based learning, the map assists learners to identify and retrieve relevant learning resources relating to any learning needs identified. 

The IVIMEDS map is based upon the Scottish Doctor 12 outcomes model and is benchmarked against other UK, US and international outcome and competency models.  The maps for each body system have been peer reviewed and agreed by content specialists from across the IVIMEDS network.
